STATE OF ABORTION IN NEW HAMPSHIRE
To Protect Abortion in November:
Sen. Maggie Hassan (D), Incumbent
We must re-elect Maggie Hassan, a leader in the fight for reproductive health and access to abortion.
I will fight and never back down. Protecting our personal freedoms [including abortion rights] isn’t just what’s right for New Hampshire. It’s what makes us New Hampshire.
Sen. Maggie Hassan, 6/30/2022

- Sen. Hassan is a champion for sexual and reproductive health care, with the track record to prove it.
- Sen. Hassan co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which would help protect the right to abortion nationwide.
- Sen. Hassan wholeheartedly agrees with the 7 in 10 Granite Staters who believe abortion should be legal.
- Granite Staters must not take abortion access for granted. Anti-abortion rights politicians plan to ban abortion nationwide, and New Hampshire is the only state in New England where access to abortion is not protected by law.
Don Bolduc (R), Challenger
Bolduc is out of step with New Hampshire voters. New Hampshire residents are some of the nation's strongest supporters of abortion rights, but Don Bolduc thinks politicians should decide whether you can control your own body.
- Bolduc is out of step with New Hampshire. While the majority of Granite Staters opposed the U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Bolduc rejoiced in the decision.
- After Sen. Hassan publicly opposed the federal abortion ban that Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced, Bolduc told her to “get over it.”
- We can’t trust Bolduc to protect access to abortion. Bolduc believes states should be able to ban abortion, leaving Granite Staters’ rights up to the whims of politicians.
- Despite the critical public health role Planned Parenthood health centers play in New Hampshire, Bolduc publicly stated his intention to "defund" Planned Parenthood in 2019.
