Chair, Planned Parenthood Action Fund
Gina Glantz is the former senior advisor to Andrew Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the largest and fastest growing trade union. Prior to joining SEIU, Ms. Glantz served as national campaign manager for Bill Bradley for President. In 1985, she co-founded the consulting firm of Martin & Glantz, with offices in California and Washington, DC. Martin & Glantz, now known as Fowler Hoffman, is a national consulting firm specializing in grassroots organizing and communications strategies designed to affect public, opinion leader, and policymaker attitudes and actions. Clients included the American Civil Liberties Union, American Express, California Wellness Foundation, Ford Foundation, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Ms. Glantz worked as a campaign manager, field director, and political consultant at the congressional, state, and presidential levels during the 11 years prior to the founding of Martin & Glantz.
In addition to chairing the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Ms. Glantz serves on the board of Demos, a nonpartisan public policy research and advocacy organization. A former member of the board of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Ms. Glantz currently serves on its National Leadership Advisory Council. In the 1990s, Ms. Glantz served on the board of Planned Parenthood Golden Gate.
Ms. Glantz graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1965 and was a participant in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government in 1981. She was a fall 2009 Resident Fellow at Harvard's Kennedy School Institute of Politics.
