WASHINGTON STATE ––  Right-wing funders Glen Morgan and Peter Zieve have hit a new low with a slate of deceptive and shameful “progressive write-in” mail sent to voters in the 6th LD Senate and 19th LD House races. We decry this vote suppression tactic which fraudulently uses our logo to indicate our endorsement of undeclared candidates. This cannot be further from accurate.

To be clear, PPVNH fully stands behind Jessa Lewis (6th LD) and Erin Frasier (19th LD). Any indication that we are supporting a write-in campaign is categorically false and is part of a concerted effort by anti-reproductive rights activist Glen Morgan and Washington Republicans to confuse voters. This is not politics by persuasion, it’s politics by perversion.

“This is one of the most abhorrent and dishonest actions by Washington Republicans I have ever seen,” said Treasure Mackley, Vice President of PPVNH.  “Planned Parenthood is a trusted voice and we will not let Glen Morgan and his Republican backers lie to voters in our name.  This fake campaign literature demonstrates  the callous corruption we are seeing under this ‘new’ Republican Party.  This type of behavior has no place in this Washington.”

We join Fuse Washington in demanding that the campaigns of State Rep. Jim Walsh (19th LD) and State Sen. Jeff Holy (6th LD)  oppose this tactic. They must call on Glen Morgan, Peter Zieve and the Washington State Republican Party to immediately stop distributing these mail pieces and apologize for lying to the voters of their districts. All voters deserve to make an informed decision about who they are voting for without fear of misinformation and false propaganda.
