Rep. Annie Kuster Wins Final Debate Before Election Day, Championing New Hampshire’s Reproductive Freedom
For Immediate Release: Nov. 5, 2022
New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District must re-elect Rep.
Kuster, who boldly defends abortion rights and access for all
NEW HAMPSHIRE — Days before Election Day, Rep. Annie Kuster affirmed that she is the clear choice in the race for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District, claiming victory in the final debate against Bob Burns.
Kuster, a steadfast champion of abortion rights, promised voters that she would continue to fight for their ability to decide what is best for their own bodies, lives, and futures.
Burns, on the other hand, put his extreme anti-abortion beliefs on full display saying unequivocally that he supports a federal “fetal heartbeat bill,” which would effectively ban abortion at 6 weeks, before many people even know they’re pregnant.
As was evident on the debate stage tonight — not to mention through her years in the U.S. House — Rep. Annie Kuster will continue to be a steadfast champion for Granite Staters’ reproductive freedom. New Hampshire voters cannot trust Bob Burns to protect their health and rights.
Statement from Kayla Montgomery, New Hampshire State Director, Planned Parenthood Votes:
“Tonight’s debate affirmed that Bob Burns is a threat to Granite Staters’ reproductive freedom. He is an extremist who is out of touch with the reality of our lives, and he would be a reliable vote in eliminating abortion access throughout this country. New Hampshire cannot afford to send someone who is so determined to control our bodies and lives to Congress. Voters must re-elect Rep. Annie Kuster, who has been a steadfast champion for abortion rights and health care access. Her proven record — including support for restoring federal abortion rights and funding for reproductive health providers like Planned Parenthood heath centers — make her the clear choice in this election. Granite Staters know that Rep. Kuster will always have our back, and we will have hers on Election Day.”
