It’s February 2017, and the federal government is in the hands of extremist lawmakers who want to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers. If they do, millions will lose the health care they rely on each year — hurting people of color, those with low incomes, and folks in rural areas the worst. But we're not letting them block health care to 2.5 million people without a fight.

Ready to join us in the fight? Here are 5 quick ways you can help Planned Parenthood health centers and the communities they serve.

1) Become a Planned Parenthood Defender

Defenders are a core group of supporters who have said they'll give their time to defend Planned Parenthood, the health services they provide, and the people who rely on them — in what just may be the fight of our lives.

Do what you can, when you can. Five minutes, five hours, whatever you've got. We'll make it as easy as possible and give you detailed instructions.

2) Change Your Profile Pic

Join Planned Parenthood supporters around the globe and send a simple, clear message—the one we need most right now: I. Stand. With. Get the #IStandWithPP Profile Pic.

3) Call Your Elected Official

Letters, tweets, petitions and emails saying #IStandWithPP are important, but we know that calls have the largest impact and grab lawmakers’ attention. Check out the call script, put in your information, and our tool will call to connect you with your senator. Make a call now and ask your senator to vote NO on any attempt to defund Planned Parenthood.

4) Attend an #IStandWithPP Event

Local Planned Parenthood action groups across the nation are having their own #IStandWithPP events! Find an event near you, or host an event of your own.

5) Tell Congress: Protect Family Planning

Anti-women's health members of Congress are moving quickly to dismantle President Obama's rule protecting people’s access to health care through the Title X family planning program. If successful, extremist politicians at the state level could block patients’ access to preventive care at a health center just because it also provides safe, legal abortion.
