My name is Miriam, and I came to the U.S. when I was just eight years old. This is where I've lived since then, it's where my life is, and all I want now is to live that life with my son and my husband. But each day Congress fails to pass the Dream Act, my future is one step closer to shattering.
It's not just my family who's in danger of being torn apart — millions of immigrants' lives hang in the balance. If Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell don't pass the Dream Act before the March 5 deadline, deportations will separate so many people from their families, including me. The last attempt to pass an immigration bill ended without a solution, so Congress still needs to act for our families before March 5.
Each day, more families run out of time. Will you lift up your voice and show everyone — your friends, your family, and the politicians in Washington — that you stand with immigrant communities?

And that's why it's so important the Planned Parenthood family stand with those of us at risk of being separated from our families by detention or deportation right now. Immigrants are postponing life-saving care because they can't access the health care they need, or they're too scared to.
Every day the Dream Act languishes in Congress, our community's suffering increases. Our elected officials can't ignore this any longer.
