“Why do I not have a moral right and access to health care?”  That’s the question on more than a few people’s minds, as conservative lawmakers continue their crusade to defund Obamacare.

At a town hall meeting in North Carolina, Congressman Patrick McHenry was asked why he would vote to repeal and defund Obamacare (which he’s done 40 times)—a law that has already helped millions of women and families across the country.  If, as McHenry has said, he agrees with some aspects of the law, including ending discrimination against pre-existing conditions and extending the time young people can stay on their parent’s health insurance, why would he vote against a plan that is better than nothing at all?
