Our Power of Pink volunteer convening — taking place July 27-29 in Detroit, MI — will turn it up for reproductive rights.

Over the past year, the Trump-Pence administration has pushed out policy after policy to undermine our rights, freedom, and access to health care.  And for people of color, young people, and women, everything is on the line. In response, were organizing the most important training we’ve ever had.

At Power of Pink, we’ll train more than 3,000 Planned Parenthood supporters on how to organize their communities, run data-driven campaigns, and help elect reproductive health champions in 2018.

Power of Pink will be the biggest volunteer event we've EVER had.

And, for the first time, it’s open to anyone and everyone! We even got a nod on CNN Politics about the impact of the conference.

What Exactly is Power of Pink?

Power of Pink isn’t just another Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) conference. It’s a response to YOUR requests for real, tangible tactics and strategies to protect our friends, families, and communities from attacks on our health care and reproductive rights.

This event will bring together some of the brightest minds in the country, regardless of skill, who care deeply about changing the political system to work for all of us. Participants will be trained on:

  • Creating integrated, sustainable volunteer structures

  • Organizing basics, like how to build and drive holistic campaigns

  • Developing partnerships with local organizations

  • And so much more!

You’ll meet some of the most badass fellow reproductive rights leaders in the country. You'll get the trainings you want. You’ll get the resources you need. And by the end of the conference, you’ll be able to create intersectional plans that work for you and your community.

TL;DR: It’s going to be a blast.

Who should come to Power of Pink?

Anyone and everyone! All backgrounds and skill levels are welcome — you don’t need to be Planned Parenthood staff, and you don’t need to be an expert on the issues. If you have the time to commit and the energy to drive electoral work and more, we want you there.

While Power of Pink is fine to attend solo, we recommend you come with a few of your friends who will help do the work with you when you get home. Rally up your fellow Planned Parenthood advocacy organization Planned Parenthood Generation Action members!

I have advocacy experience. Can I lead trainings at Power of Pink?

Yes, please! We have over 90 workshop slots and we want YOU to lead them. Whether it’s hosting a training on organizing in rural areas or crafting digital strategy for communities of color, we want your leadership and expertise to make Power of Pink the most inclusive conference in Planned Parenthood history.

People of color and LGBTQ and gender nonconforming folks — who are on the front lines of the fight for health care access and reproductive rights — are especially encouraged to submit workshop proposals. Priority will be given to local Planned Parenthood advocacy organizations and volunteers.

I’m in. How do I register?

Registration is live now and closes Saturday, June 30. Attendees are responsible for covering their full costs for the Power of Pink convention. (Don't worry, we have tons of tips to help you raise the money to do just that!)

For questions about the program, travel, scholarships, registration (English and Spanish), or logistics, please reach out to [email protected].

See ya there! #PowerofPink
