Republican lawmakers have relentlessly tried to repeal Obamacare — despite the fact that the health care law has already helped millions of women and families get the care they need, when they need it. Opponents of the law don’t care that you can no longer be denied insurance coverage because of a pre-existing condition, that women can’t be charged higher premiums simply because of their gender, and that you can now access birth control with no co-pay — they outright oppose the birth control benefit. Their intractable opposition has led them to vote to repeal the law 40 times (yes you read that right).

North Dakota Judge Blocks Extreme Abortion Law
A federal judge in North Dakota has blocked the state’s law banning abortions as early as six weeks—before many women know they are pregnant. The law, which would ultimately outlaw abortion in the state demonstrated just how far some politicians would go to take away women’s access to safe and legal abortion.
