Rick Perry’s Texas Women’s Health Program Leaves Many Women Without…

What happens when Governor Rick Perry blocks Planned Parenthood health centers from participating in the Texas Women’s Health Program? The 50,000 low-income women who had previously gone to one of the 47 Planned Parenthood health centers for access to affordable birth control, lifesaving cancer screenings, and STI testing are forced to find a new provider. Why I Got Arrested for Women's Health

You've seen the news: When they thought no one was looking last week, state senators in North Carolina tucked several dangerous attacks on women's health into an unrelated bill. Legislation originally meant to -- yes, you're reading this right -- ban "Sharia Law" in North Carolina will now also severely restrict a woman's ability to make deeply personal, private decisions about her pregnancy by restricting access to safe and legal abortion.

On the Road: Stand with Texas Women Bus Stops in Austin and Houston

Rick Perry and his allies have lit a fuse in Texas. They've slashed funding for women's health and cut 130,000 women off from their only source of care. Now, they're pushing their dangerous agenda to a new extreme — threatening to shut down dozens of health centers, denying even more women access to basic care and ending access to safe and legal abortion in most of the state.
