In a deeply troubling decision for women’s health care and reproductive rights, on June 30 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that some employers who personally believe birth control is wrong have the power deny legally mandated health care coverage of it for their employees.

Yesterday, the Obama administration announced that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will comply with a federal judge’s order to make emergency contraception available over the counter, for all women, with no age restrictions. This is a major victory for women’s health—and for expanding access to birth control!
