Stacey Abrams is a proven champion for reproductive health

There are folks who don’t think it’s time for a black woman to be governor of any state, let alone a state in the Deep South. But there’s no wrong time for a black woman to be in charge.

This November, Georgians have the chance to elect Stacey Abrams as governor. An Ivy League-educated lawyer and a proven champion for women and families, Abrams has a vision for Georgia that gives everyone the freedom and opportunity to thrive. If elected, Abrams would be the first Black woman governor in this nation’s history, period.

Abrams’ vision for Georgia is one in which everyone has control over their health and rights. And her legislative record shows that as governor, she’ll do everything she can to make that vision a reality.

Why We Support Stacey Abrams

  • Abrams has stood up to some of the harshest abortion restrictions in the country. She led the fight to block Georgia’s dangerous 20-week abortion ban.
  • One of her first priorities as governor would be to expand Medicaid in Georgia.

  • Abrams voted against a harmful measure to fund fake women's health centers.
