Fact Check: Donald Trump Is No IVF Champion

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Did someone say desperate? Donald Trump is watching the polls and seeing Kamala Harris surge toward victory in November, so now he’s grasping to say anything he thinks might trick people into voting for him. 

In response to Trump’s latest claims about IVF, Jenny Lawson, executive director for Planned Parenthood Votes released the following statement: 

“Let's not pretend we can believe a word that comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth. Donald Trump is only out for himself and will say anything to get elected. Watch what he does, not what he says. Trump has bragged about overturning Roe, which opened the doors for today’s threats to IVF. His own running mate voted to block nationwide protections for IVF just two months ago. No matter how hard Donald Trump tries to hide from his record, voters know that he is responsible for our reproductive health crisis. And in November, they will hold him accountable.”
