(Albany, NY) Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts looks forward to seeing our access to reproductive health care secured and our rights protected as the 2019 legislative session begins. With a new pro-reproductive health care majority in the state Senate and strong statewide support from advocates, anticipation is high that our state will again lead the nation in protecting our reproductive and sexual health care and rights.
We also celebrate today’s historic firsts for women of color in leadership posts with Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Senate Majority Leader and Crystal People-Stokes Assembly Majority Leader.
