Get Yourself Test Month: Resolution and Proclaimation Honoree List

April is Get Yourself Tested Month! GYT is a movement to encourage young people to get tested for STDs. Throughout the month of April, GYT strives to increase awareness about STDs and promote a more open dialogue, with an emphasis on reducing stigma.

To commemorate GYT, we are working with elected officials around the state to pass resolutions and proclamations that celebrate GYT and raise awareness in our local communities. Resolutions and proclamations are an administrative act taken by county freeholders, mayors, or town councils and committees to make a public statement. By passing resolutions and proclamations in our communities, we are cultivating supporters of sexual and reproductive health at all levels of government and informing the public about a critical public health issue.
