WOMEN FOR MURPHY

Phil Murphy:
The Candidate for Women

The stakes have never been higher for New Jersey's women, men, and families. We need a leader who will stand up for access to health care, equal pay, LGBTQ protections, paid family leave, and more. As Republicans in Congress try to restrict access to health care, New Jersey women need a governor who will stand strong to protect them. What we don't need is more of the same failed leadership that we've had for the past eight years under the Christie administration.

Phil Murphy is the candidate for women on the ballot this November. Learn more, and join us.

Reproductive Health

Phil will restore funding for lifesaving services like breast and cervical cancer screenings, STD testing, and birth control.

Paid Family Leave

New Jersey's family leave insurance program is often under-utilized by those who need it most. Phil will help make sure no one has to choose between caring for their family and affording to take time off from work.

Equal Pay

In 2017, white women in New Jersey make 82 cents to every dollar a man makes, and women of color earn substantially less. Phil will support efforts to bridge this gap.

Minimum Wage

No one who works full time should live in poverty. Phil supports raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour to help women and families succeed.

Kim Guadagno:
A Vote Against Women

For the last eight years, Kim Guadagno has stood by silently while her boss, Governor Christie, has been behind policies that harm New Jersey women. Now, Guadagno is showing voters that her administration would be more of the same. For example: while Guadagno claims to be “pro-choice,” she wants to withhold funds from Planned Parenthood because it provides abortions. Opinion surveys show that even Republicans disagree and are opposed to cutting those funds.

Phil Murphy: A Clear Stance on the Issues

Phil Murphy has pledged countless times to fund Planned Parenthood, guarantee equal pay for equal work, and raise the minimum wage to $15.

Where's Kim?

Kim Guadagno has remained almost silent on these issues during the campaign trail - and she's been completely silent while her boss, Governor Christie, defunded Planned Parenthood and vetoed equal pay legislation.

In May, June, and August, she refused to give a clear answer on whether or not she'd restore Planned Parenthood funding in New Jersey.

Last December, she said she was against raising the minimum wage.

Partners

Meet the organizations who are working together to elect Phil Murphy and make New Jersey a better state for women.

LUPE PAC

We need a governor who will stand up for immigrant women as they fight to keep their families together from the threat of deportation. We need a governor who will make sure our government embraces and reflects the diversity of this state by including Latina voices in leadership. We need Phil Murphy for Governor.

New Jersey Citizen Action

Phil Murphy understands that women will continue to struggle to succeed at work and to provide financially for themselves and their families without action to adopt family friendly workplace policies that expand paid leave and ensure all who work can earn paid sick time. New Jersey Citizen Action is supporting Phil Murphy because he supports policies that will protect women and their families' economic security while also giving them time to care.

New Jersey Working Families Alliance

NJWFA is leading in the fight to ensure every hard working New Jerseyan can earn a wage they can live on.

PAM's List

PAM's List knows what it means to be pro-choice: making sure that women can access the health care they need, when they need it. PAM's List is working hard to make sure New Jersey is a pro-choice state.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey

Women's health is at risk in New Jersey. In 2010, Govenor Christie cut funding for cancer screenings, birth control, and STD testing and treatment. Eight years later, STDs have increased 35 percent statewide, and breast and cervical cancer have disproportionately increased in Black women and Latinas. Phil Murphy will restore this funding and protect and expand access to reproductive health care.

Women for Progress

Women for Progress is proud to support Phil Murphy. After eight years of the Christie/Guadagno administration denying women and families access to family planning and reproductive health care, it is time for change! Phil Murphy will fight for our rights!
