All people should be able to make their own medical decisions with their health care providers, just as they make many other important health decisions every day for themselves and their families.

Californians have historically supported a person’s right to abortion and contraception, but must ensure that this right will always be protected in California. An amendment to the state Constitution overwhelmingly passed the state legislature and is now before voters to decide this November. Proposition 1 would ensure that regardless of what political party controls the government or the courts in the future, a person’s right to an abortion will remain protected in California.

Now more than ever, it is essential that our state continues to be a beacon of hope for those who need to access essential health care. Together, we can vote Yes on Proposition 1, to ensure California continues to have the strongest laws protecting every patient’s right.
