As the situation with COVID-19 rapidly evolves, we want to assure you that our priority is ensuring the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and our committed supporters.
The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts, in partnership with Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, is closely monitoring the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, and taking all necessary steps to slow the spread of this virus while keeping its promise to be here for every person in Massachusetts—no matter what.
As part of that promise, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts is continuing to provide essential reproductive health services to patients while making scheduling and appointment adjustments. For its part, PPAF will not let up on its fierce advocacy on behalf of patients and communities. That advocacy, however, will look different for the time being as PPAF heeds the advice of public health officials and refrains from hosting or attending external events.
Undoubtedly, people power has been the driving force of the campaign to pass the ROE Act this legislative session. During this period of suspended in-person activities, the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund invites you to continue to take part in our advocacy as we move toward tele-town halls, virtual phone banks, and other remote activities.
At the same time we reimagine our ROE Act campaign, we are joining fellow public health advocates in calling for federal and state responses that meaningfully address the needs of families and individuals as the pandemic continues to spread.
Thank you for fighting for affordable and accessible health care and for doing all you can to help slow the spread of this virus.
