PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: Elect School Board Candidates That Will Represent You!

School boards are not all identical. They represent multiple stakeholders and institutions within the community, such as parents, guardians, students, and educators. They represent nonprofit workers, health care workers, and business leaders. This varied set of perspectives allows for a more comprehensive ability to approach issues and concerns within schools and the community. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona is proud to endorse a diverse range of candidates running for K-12 school and college board districts in Maricopa County. This November, it’s our job, every one of us, to ensure that we elect school board members that represent our communities and are working with and for us!

A Century of Women’s Suffrage

August 26, 2020, marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the amendment that finally recognized women’s right to vote. PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: Onward to November’s General Elections!

Last week we celebrated a historic night as many of our endorsed candidates secured their spots on the ballot for November’s general election. These wins prove that Arizona voters are prioritizing electing public servants that both protect reproductive freedom and represent all of our communities. Lifelong Tucsonan, Representative Alma Hernandez, and former DREAMer and State Senate candidate, Lynsey Robinson, both embody the current and growing demographics within Arizona. We at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona are proud to endorse Hernandez for reelection and Robinson for election. Now is the time to look forward as we continue the work ahead that will ensure these nominees take their offices in January.

PPAA’s 2020 Candidate Endorsements: 100 Days Out

Every week, more and more polls indicate Vice President Biden and Mark Kelly are poised to lead a historic Blue Wave through Arizona this November. Now under 100 days out from the general election, the wave shows signs of washing a new Arizona majority into Phoenix as well. If Democrats in the House of Representatives and Senate are to take control for the first time in over thirty years, they will need their seasoned hands on the reins of leadership. Liberal champions of reproductive justice including Representatives Athena Salman and Andres Castro, as well as Senator Juan Mendez are prepared to lead the fight for a more progressive vision for Arizona. Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona is proud to endorse all three dedicated public servants in their primary elections TOMORROW August 4th and into the general in November.
