Pink Ball - Halloween Edition was the perfect environment for supporters and volunteers to recharge so that we can get right back out there and fight another day. On Saturday, October 28th, friends, supporters, and celebrities gathered at our Washington, D.C. location to recharge to resist and support our Action Fund.

Actress, Planned Parenthood advocate, and all-round badass Amber Tamblyn attended, as well as Mike Hot-Pence, Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), and State Senator Richard Madaleno (D-MD).

With a cover band playing, Halloween decorations strewn, and brew bubbling, it was almost easy to forget the state of affairs in American politics and what’s at stake in the upcoming Virginia elections.

“Right now, we are literally in the fight of our lives,” actress and Planned Parenthood advocate Amber Tamblyn said to a crowd. “It is a mantra that no matter what this president chooses to do, Planned Parenthood’s doors will stay open.”

That’s really what our Action Fund is all about: never giving up, against insurmountable odds and long, uphill battles.

The last year has been a whirlwind of attacks on our care, but we’ve been there, at the ready, every time. First to knock down American Health Care Act, then to reject the GOP’s so-called “skinny repeal,” and most recently, to stop the horrendous Graham-Cassidy.

With our fiery organizing team and repro rights champions in office, we’ve been able to defend healthcare for millions of Americans and protect the 8,818 patients who enter Planned Parenthood health centers every day.

But we have more work to do. In just 5 days, we have an opportunity to show the nation that we won’t go back on women’s health. The battle starts with electing Ralph Northam as governor of Virginia, and WE MUST DO OUR PART.
