Protect Medicaid. Stop SB 28!

Medicaid is a health insurance program that protects Missouri’s children, seniors, people with disabilities and low-income women of all ages by providing critical health care access — especially access to family planning services.

Any day now, the Missouri Senate will vote on a bill that radically changes how Medicaid works in Missouri. Here’s what Senate Bill 28 does:

  • Drastically cuts federal funding
  • Jeopardizes Missouri’s financial stability
  • Cuts health care services for our most vulnerable neighbors

Act now and tell your state senator to support Medicaid and oppose this attempt to gut the program.

Protect Medicaid. Stop SB 28!

Planned Parenthood Advocates in Missouri volunteers are enthusiastic activists who are dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health — whether it be increasing access to emergency contraception, promoting proactive family planning legislation, or fighting the anti-reproductive and sexual health powers that be.

Repeal TRAP laws

Targeted Restrictions of Abortion Providers (TRAP) laws like the ones that the Supreme Court just struck down in Texas have nothing to do with protecting women’s health and everything to do with stopping women from accessing abortion.

It's time to stop pushing these harmful restrictions and repeal existing TRAP laws now.

Support comprehensive sex education

In 2015, Missouri took a small step forward in advancing sex education curriculum, but we can and must do more!

The bottom line is that even with this new law, Missouri young people can be subjected to ineffective and dangerous abstinence-only sex education in our public schools. That is not ok.
