Missouri’s Medicaid program, MO HealthNet, is a health insurance program that protects Missouri’s children, seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income women of all ages by providing critical health care access — especially access to family planning services.

Right now, the Missouri Senate is debating a bill that radically changes how Medicaid works in Missouri. Here’s what Senate Bill 28 does:

  • Drastically cuts federal funding
  • Jeopardizes Missouri’s financial stability
  • Cuts health care services for our most vulnerable neighbors
What to say (Call Script)

Hi, my name is ____________ and I live in _____________.

I'm calling to ask my senator to vote NO on Senate Bill 28.

Changing Medicaid to a block grant is a bad deal for Missourians. There is no need to cap or shrink the federal funding: If the Legislature wants flexibility to try new things with Medicaid, the new administration has said it will prioritize state Medicaid flexibility through waivers. Gutting Medicaid is not the answer.

I'm counting on my senator to do the right thing and stand up for 900,000 Missourians across who rely on Medicaid.

I stand with these Missourians because [insert your own story, if you like].

Please vote against Senate Bill 28 and any other attacks on health care for the people of our state.

Thank you for your time.
