If Scott Walker had his way, all abortion would be illegal – regardless of circumstance.
With the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, we’re one step closer to this becoming a reality. Kavanaugh will likely be the final vote on the Court needed to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision that made abortion legal in the United States. If this happens, abortion will immediately become a crime in Wisconsin.
Scott Walker has taken every opportunity to undermine the Affordable Care Act in Wisconsin, meaning less of us have access to health care coverage.
He refused the Medicaid expansion, which would have made more people eligible for BadgerCare, and right now, his administration is currently suing to try to end protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
Scott Walker has made women’s health care more difficult to get.
In his first budget, he blocked state funding for Planned Parenthood, which forced the closure of five rural, family planning health centers.
In the years since these closures, no other women’s health care provider has come into those communities, which means less access to birth control, STD testing and treatment and cancer screenings.
The Governor makes decisions that impact whether we have access to health care. This November, there’s a lot at stake. We need a governor with a vision to make sure all Wisconsinites are able to get the health care we need.
Vote Tony Evers and Mandela Barnes on November 6th.
