SACRAMENTO – Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) announces two promotions on the Communications and Campaign Advocacy team and a new Vice President of Public Affairs. Jennifer Wonnacott, who previously served as Vice President of Communications and Campaigns, will now help lead the organization as Chief External Affairs Officer and Xenia Vidal has been promoted to Campaign Manager. Additionally, Erin Reynoso has joined PPAC as Vice President of Public Affairs.

“As we look ahead at the next several years, we know a strong external affairs team is crucial in our continued advocacy work and we are thrilled to move Jen and Xenia into these new roles and welcome Erin to PPAC,” said Jodi Hicks, CEO/President of PPAC. “Jen’s steady leadership on campaigns and advocacy has propelled the organization forward politically and in this new role will advance our agenda even further. Xenia has been integral to growing our advocacy efforts, and we look forward to their development of even more bold and creative ways to further the organization’s reach and impact. And as PPAC continues to build out more expansive advocacy and electoral engagement programs, we are excited to have Erin bring her statewide organizing and political experience to the team, particularly as we look ahead to critical state and federal races next year.”

Jen has been at PPAC for four years, serving as part of leadership and overseeing communications, advocacy, and political work, including managing Planned Parenthood’s role on Proposition 1 last year. For the last two years, Xenia has been serving as the External Affairs Coordinator at PPAC having previously worked at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. In their new role, Xenia will be leading trans-related outreach and advocacy efforts, as well as assist in managing external political and advocacy campaigns, such as the "My Body, My Voice" VoiceBox project, among others.

Erin Reynoso has joined as Vice President of Public Affairs, overseeing the day-to-day management of the external affairs work for PPAC, particularly focused on PPAC’s political and electoral activities. Erin most recently was Political Coordinator at SEIU California and before that was at Health Access and American Lung Association in statewide organizing roles.

PPAC also previously announced Rebe James as Communications Manager who is part of the Communications and Campaign Advocacy team as well.
