Federal Judge Requires Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to Pay Planned Parenthood Attorney Fees

Today, U.S. District Judge Nanette Laughrey issued an order granting Planned Parenthood Great Plains (formerly Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri) $156,630.68 in attorney fees and expenses in its successful case against the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

Kansas Won't Cut Medicaid Funding....Yet

Today, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) requested a third extension from the court in order to defend its unlawful termination of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri (PPKM) from the Kansas Medicaid program, stating that the effective date of the terminations would now be July 7, 2016.
