Planned Parenthood Illinois Action is proud to endorse these candidates for the Illinois General Assembly.  We know that, when elected, we can trust them to fight for Planned Parenthood and for our rights.

We have ambitious plans for the 2020 Election and we need you to help us make them a reality. Join our 2020 Elections Team and help keep Illinois the pro-choice haven of the Midwest!

We've highlighted a couple of key races, below. To see our full list of endorsements, click here.

Illinois Senate District 25

Karina Villa is a champion for reproductive rights—and with the track record to prove it. She has supported several pieces of legislation in support of women’s access to health care and comprehensive reproductive rights. We need Karina Villa in the State Senate to continue to fight for our rights.

Illinois House District 48

Terra Costa-Howard will continue to fight for our access to comprehensive health care. She has promised to oppose any effort that would limit access to reproductive health care. Illinois is a safe haven for reproductive rights and Terra Costa-Howard will work to protect our ability to provide care.

Illinois House District 51

Mary Edly-Allen strongly opposes all threats to women’s reproductive health care, even when those threats come from the highest office in the country. Edly-Allen has said that “the health and well-being of women throughout our state and community must be our top priority” and we need her in Springfield to continue fighting for our reproductive rights.

Illinois House District 54

We need to elect Maggie Trevor because she will support legislation that requires public schools to teach medically accurate, age-appropriate, and culturally inclusive sex education program in grades K-12. Maggie Trevor will work to ensure access to education for Illinois’ youth.

Illinois House District 61

Joyce Mason is a bold leader that is not afraid to stand strong for women's rights. Mason is a fierce advocate for bodily autonomy and strongly believes that politics don’t belong in the conversations between Illinoisians and their doctors.
