Planned Parenthood Illinois Action is proud to endorse Denyse Stoneback for State Representative in Illinois House District 16. We can trust Denyse to be the advocate that we need in the Illinois General Assembly. Denyse has a long record of community activism in her native Skokie. She has faught for things like the increase in the minimum wage, paid sick leave and increased transparency in government.
But, it was her work with an organization she founded called "People for a Safer Society" that caught our eye. In the wake of the tragic 2011 Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, Denyse became a strong advocate for increased gun control in Illinois. Her passionate advocacy on behalf of this effort has shown us that she has the fire to stand up for Planned Parenthood in the Illinois General Assembly.
Join us in supporting Denyse!
Illinois Senate District 13
Planned Parenthood Illinois Action is proud to support State Senator Robert Peters for election to the Illinois State Senate. Since his appointment in January of 2019, Senator Peters has made his mark on the General Assembly by passing criminal justice reform initiatives and being a champion on issues like the Reproductive Health Act.
We can trust State Senator Peters to continue to advocate for us when he is elected to the Illinois State Senate.
Illinois House District 83
Planned Parenthood Illinois Action is proud to support State Representative Barbara Hernandez for Illinois House District 83. State Representative Hernandez is passionate in her advocacy of the immigrant families that live in the Aurora area. She took that advocacy as the youngest member of the Kane County Board. Since then, she has gone on to become one of the youngest members ever appointed to the Illinois General Assembly. She has worked tirelessly to be a champion for the families of Aurora and fighting to protect immigrant families. She showed her commitment to reproductive rights when she voted in favor of the Reproductive Health Act. We are impressed by her passion and we know that she will continue fight on behalf of Planned Parenthood in Springfield.
