2017 was quite a year for all of us and for Planned Parenthood. Against all odds, we have things to celebrate:
Passed Medicaid Expansion. Stopped “defunding” of Planned Parenthood and the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Rallied in a blizzard. Passed the 12-month birth control bill. Defeated bills designed to undermine reproductive rights in Maine. Shared our Me, Too stories.
We also have fights that are just getting started, like Title X defunding and continued attempts to deny access to birth control.
As we reflect on the good, the bad, the heartbreaking, and the inspiring, we’re also looking ahead to the New Year and making our Planned Parenthood resolutions.
