This week, we're saying “thank you” to the compassionate and skilled nurses who work every day to keep the women, men, and young people in their communities healthy, and to ensure they have access to the full range of reproductive health care options, including cancer screenings, birth control, testing and treatment for STDs, and medically-accurate sexual health information. Join us in celebrating the remarkable dedication of Planned Parenthood nurses this week and all year long!

Jen C., Registered Nurse at Planned Parenthood in Minneapolis, recently told us:

Planned Parenthood is really well known for being a nonjudgmental, safe space. I’ve heard patients come in and say, ‘I talked to my primary care doctor, and there was so much judgment in what they were saying to me. I knew that if I came to Planned Parenthood I wouldn’t get that.'

We don’t ever turn anyone away, and that’s why we’re so busy. We don’t want to send anyone away, because for some patients it was really hard for them to get here. It could have been hard for them to leave the house, to find time, or to be safe from a dangerous partner. So once they’re here, we always serve them.
