This week, we're saying “thank you” to the compassionate and skilled nurses who work every day to keep the women, men, and young people in their communities healthy, and to ensure they have access to the full range of reproductive health care options, including cancer screenings, birth control, testing and treatment for STDs, and medically-accurate sexual health information. Join us in celebrating the remarkable dedication of Planned Parenthood nurses this week and all year long!
Katy O, Nurse at Planned Parenthood in St. Paul, recently told us:
I work at Planned Parenthood because I believe so strongly in educating and supporting women and men in their choices regarding reproductive health. I believe that reproductive health care is a foundation to general health and can impact our lives greatly at many different ages and stages.
The nurses at Planned Parenthood are brave and caring; they have a great way of making patients feel like they are never alone, whatever their life circumstances may be. The nurses here are extremely knowledgeable in reproductive healthcare—that is their specialty! They also have well-rounded nursing education and experience that they draw on in their work. The team at PPMNS is so friendly and strives to meet every patient exactly where they are. Our only goal is to help patients get what they need.
