This week, we're saying “thank you” to the compassionate and skilled nurses who work every day to keep the women, men, and young people in their communities healthy, and to ensure they have access to the full range of reproductive health care options, including cancer screenings, birth control, testing and treatment for STDs, and medically-accurate sexual health information. Join us in celebrating the remarkable dedication of Planned Parenthood nurses this week and all year long!

Laura W., Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner and Manager at Planned Parenthood in Moorhead, recently told us:

"Planned Parenthood nurses really care about women and care about families, and I think that shows in how we take care of patients. This isn’t just a job for us.

Within Planned Parenthood we have a lot of different trainings that we offer. Throughout the year there are always different learning opportunities. We do a really good job of training nurse practitioners to be fully ready before we send them into a clinic.”

Planned Parenthood is a place where people can go and always get that individualized care that they probably can’t get other places.

One of our main focuses is preventing unintended pregnancies. We always have that in the back of our minds. We spend a lot of time talking to women about planning their pregnancy and planning their families, and hopefully that makes a difference in those women’s lives.”
