On the Heels of Legislation, Minnesotans for Trust, Respect, Access Offers, Across The Line, a Virtual Reality Experience

Immersive, 360 Degree Movie Lets Viewers Experience Protesters at an Abortion Clinic

St. Paul, MN — Minnesotans for Trust, Respect, Access is proud to bring Across the Line to St. Paul.  First featured at the Sundance Film Festival, Across the Line is an immersive virtual reality experience that puts viewers in the shoes of a patient entering a clinic for a safe and legal abortion. Using real audio gathered at protests, scripted scenes, and documentary footage, the film is a powerful depiction of the gauntlet that many abortion providers, clinic staff, and patients must walk on a typical day in America.

This opportunity comes on the heels of legislation just introduced this week to ensure safe access to health care for Minnesotans (HF 1642). The Minnesota Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, or Minnesota FACE Act, ensures that reproductive health clinics remain safe and secure spaces because a person's right to access medical care shouldn't be accompanied by feelings of threat or intimidation.

There are two opportunities for members of the press to experience Across the Line on Monday February 27:

The experience takes about 15 minutes and we can only accommodate a limited number of screenings.

The Minnesotans for Trust, Respect, Access campaign believes all people in Minnesota deserve access to the reproductive health care they need, including abortion and contraception, without harassment or intimidation.  Coalition members include NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota, Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Action Fund, Pro-Choice Resources and Gender Justice, who work in partnership with The Public Leadership Institute.  You can follow the campaign on Twitter @MN4Acesss or by visiting
