October 6, 2018, the United States Senate voted to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. Planned Parenthood Action Fund and thousands of Planned Parenthood supporters stand strongly against the outcome of Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote.

With the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court, the right to safe, legal abortion in this country is in danger. There are already 13 abortion cases that are one step away from the Supreme Court. It's likely that within the next two years, the Supreme Court will rule on the right to access safe, legal abortion, birth control, and quality health care at Planned Parenthood health centers. States will now be the last and only line of defense against the Trump-Pence administration's relentless attempts to turn back the clock on reproductive rights. That’s why this year, more than ever, Minnesotans must act decisively to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

This is no time for despair; now is the time to act. We can not, and we will not, sit on the sidelines this November.

One thing is clear, if the American people could have voted, Brett Kavanaugh would be nowhere near the Supreme Court. The good news is that in November, the American people can vote. Minnesotans have the chance to elect champions who will fight for their values at all levels of government—and every single vote matters. It is more important than ever that Minnestoa voters elect pro-Planned Parenthood champions to the United States Congress who will stand up to these harmful policies at the Federal level and champions in the Minnesota State Legislature and the governor's office who will protect health and rights at the state level.

Throughout history, movements for justice have always worked against impossible-seeming odds and the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh is no different. The midterms are your chance to send a clear message to those in power: We aren't giving up now—we aren’t giving up ever.

Kavanaugh’s confirmation is a moment of reckoning. For the last two years, activists have stood up and fought back over and over again as Donald Trump and Republican leadership attack reproductive freedom and there is no quitting now. Are you ready to fight back even harder? Here’s how you can get involved:
