Doug Wardlow is Wrong for Minnesota

His record on reproductive health and rights speaks for itself, his agenda is too extreme for the Minnesota Attorney General’s office. He opposes women’s right to safe, legal abortion in all circumstances and has defended those who harass patients at women’s health clinics.

Wardlow’s policy agenda would threaten LGBTQ folks across the state. He fought against marriage equality and against human rights for transgender people. His organization brought the case to the Supreme Court to allow discrimination against gay and lesbian consumers. Wardlow has a lifelong pattern of discriminating against the LGBT community.

Doug Wardlow’s anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ, and anti-immigrant views are too extreme for Minnesotans.

  • During Wardlow’s time in the Minnesota House of Representatives, he co-authored 7 bills to restrict access to safe, legal abortion. [HF 2341, HF2340, HF2103, SF1921, HF1841, HF936, HF391]
  • He has fought against marriage equality and tried to stop transgender students from using the bathroom or locker rooms they feel comfortable in.
  • He was formerly a lawyer for an organization that is named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
  • He wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act and protections for people with pre-existing conditions.
