2019 was undoubtedly a challenging year for reproductive rights activists across the country. State legislatures passed 26 abortion bans (none of which are in effect yet), and the Trump administration implemented a gag rule that forced Planned Parenthood out of Title X — a bipartisan program for affordable birth control and reproductive health care that has been in place since the 1970s.

Despite those attacks, with your help we were able to accomplish an incredible amount this year to advance and protect reproductive health and rights in the Granite State.

Together we:

Protected Family Planning Funding: Passed a state budget that protects the more than 16,000 Granite State Title X patients from the Title X gag rule.

Blocked Attacks: Used our advocacy power to block several legislative attacks on reproductive health care.

Improved Menstrual Equity: Helped pass a law that requires menstrual products be provided in girls' and gender-neutral middle and high school restrooms and celebrated the first National Period Day.

Helped Re-elect Mayor Joyce Craig: Knocked on over 1,000 doors and talked with Manchester voters about how she is protecting their health and safety.

Brought in New Leaders and Voices: More than 200 PPNHAF volunteers, including 50 new volunteers, joined us at the State House, asked presidential candidates questions, celebrated at Pride events, and raised their voices and shared their stories.

2020 promises to be an even bigger year for reproductive rights in the Granite State and we can’t do it without your help. Click here to learn more about our many volunteeer opportunities or email [email protected].

Happy New Year!
