15 Anti-LGBT Bills Filed
Republican lawmakers in the State House and Senate have filed a record 15 bills targeting LGBTQ Missourians, and several have received hearings already. The bills include measures that undermine marriage equality, censor mentions of sexual orientation or gender identity in schools, and target transgender youth playing sports and receiving life-saving medical care.
PROMO, Missouri's statewide LGBTQ advocacy organization, and the ACLU of Missouri are leading the efforts to stop these bills and ensure all Missourians are protected under the law. Dozens of Missourians, including many young people, have come to Jefferson City to speak out against these bills, giving powerful testimony.
Planned Parenthood Advocates is proud to stand with PROMO and the ACLU of Missouri in opposing these bills and supporting LGBTQ Missourians no matter what.
