Planned Parenthood Supporters Join #ThePeoplesProtest
More than 170 Planned Parenthood supporters in pink #IStandWithPP tees were among the 1700+ at “The People’s Protest” on Wednesday, August 30. While the president visited Springfield for a private speech, Missourians stood together against President Trump and Gov. Greitens’ anti-worker, anti-family, anti-health care agendas.
Planned Parenthood supporters focused on President Trump’s plan to roll back the Affordable Care Act’s rule ensuring patients have access to birth control without a copay. This would make it easier for employers and universities to deny women this coverage.
More than 55 million women now have access to birth control without a copay as a result of the current rule. Women saved an estimated $1.4 billion on birth control pills the first year the law was in effect. Repealing this rule threatens to undo years of progress in reducing unintended pregnancy. Planned Parenthood supporters stand with the majority of Americans who support no-copay birth control — because women’s ability to access basic health care should not be up for debate.

Tell Gov. Greitens: Want to cut red tape? Then start with #NoMoTRAPLaws!
Gov. Eric Greitens says he wants to cut red tape. Nevertheless, he eagerly signed 30+ pages of new red tape in Senate Bill 5, a targeted regulation of abortion providers (TRAP) law.
Senate Bill 5 is the definition of red tape. Its requirements will increase the burden on Missourians, while doing nothing to protect their health or safety.
Senate Bill 5 adds to the extensive web of TRAP laws that has left Missourians who seek safe, legal abortion with just one provider in the entire state. Sign our petition and tell Gov. Greitens: Want #NoMoRedTape? Then #NoMoTRAPLaws!
