SB 1

Earlier this week the PA Senate voted to advance 3 constitutional amendments that would infringe on Pennsylvanians rights. Including SB 1 which would make all state government department regulations subject to scrutiny and approval of the PA General Assembly.

Specific to Planned Parenthood’s work, we know that this amendment would be used to change the regulatory conditions that allow us to provide abortion care. Telemedicine access could be attacked. The legislature could reject changes to clinic regulations that would bring state policy up to date and in line with the needs of patients.
