HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania — This week, Planned Parenthood Pennsylvania Advocates (PPPA) launched an ad campaign to end the stigma surrounding abortion care.

The digital ads feature people who have accessed abortion care across the commonwealth telling their personal stories.

“Stigma surrounding abortion makes it harder for folks to seek and receive the care that they need,” said Cortney Bouse, statewide organizing director for PPPA. “Stigma is silencing but our rights are under attack now and we need to be loud in our support for continued access to safe, legal abortion in Pennsylvania. That’s what this ad campaign is about.”

The six figure ad campaign will run for three weeks across the state.

“When I was 18, I had an abortion,” reads the story in one of the ads. “The thought of being pregnant worried me so much, so I ended up having to go through the entire process alone. This is a women’s health issue. Abortion should continue to be a right for all people.”

You can watch each of the four ads here: 1, 2, 3, 4.
