3 Ways to Support Planned Parenthood

We can’t thank you enough for your commitment in supporting Planned Parenthood. We are entering into a dangerous time and your support is needed more than ever. More than 2.5 million women, men, and teens are at risk of losing lose high-quality, affordable health care at Planned Parenthood, including cancer screenings and birth control if congressional republicans get their way.

Your energy inspires us and it’s what we need right now.

Our number one focus at Planned Parenthood is our patients and while we know you want to show your support, we also know our patients come see us for high-quality health care, not for a political statement. The privacy and safety of our patients is of utmost importance and we ask you to respect that privacy and avoid giving voice to the opposition by holding counter protests at our health centers. There are a number of other ways to get involved, here are just a few to get you started:

  1. Become a Defender: A Planned Parenthood Action Fund organizer will reach out by text message at critical moments. Some weeks, we'll ask you to help flood a key member of Congress with calls. Sometimes it might be writing a letter or showing up for a rally. This week, people are inviting friends over for an emergency meetup. Whatever it is, it will be what's truly needed, right when it's needed most.

  2. Volunteer Locally: Get connected to your local Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii Organizer. Your local Organizer will keep you updated on how you can take action in your area. This will be incredibly important during state legislative sessions and in fighting back against Congressional attacks.

  3. Share Your Story: Your voice can make a difference. Whether it's affordable birth control or the right to safe and legal abortion, tell us why access to these services matter to you. Your story will help show lawmakers, the media, and supporters just what we're fighting for.
