Everyone should have equal access to reproductive health care. Women of color, immigrant women and LGBTQ individuals are disproportionately impacted by restrictions on care. Historically, marginalized communities have more restrictions on access to reproductive health care such as birth control and abortion. Reproductive health care equity gives people what they need in order to have a fair chance at sexual and reproductive well-being and autonomy. Planned Parenthood seeks to end discrimination in treatment and access to reproductive health care while creating equitable access to health care services.
