Planned Parenthood Action Fund Calls on Congress to Honor Wishes and Needs of American People, Increase Funding for Sexual and Reproductive Health
For Immediate Release: Dec. 16, 2022
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Jacqueline Ayers, Senior Vice President of Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy released the following statement, calling on Congress to increase funding for sexual and reproductive health programs like Title X, international family planning, and UNFPA, as funding negotiations continue.
Quote attributable to Jaqueline Ayers, Senior Vice President of Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy, Planned Parenthood Action Fund:
“This election, voters made it clear that they want Congress to support and protect access to sexual and reproductive health. As year-end funding negotiations continue, Congress needs to prioritize increased funding for sexual and reproductive health programs domestically and abroad, including Title X, international family planning, and UNFPA. To do anything else ignores the wishes and needs of the American people, and is unresponsive to the sexual and reproductive health crisis unfolding across the country and around the world.”
