Phony Kelly’s Five-Point Plan for Women’s Health Attempts to Erase Her Record – So We Fixed it For Her

CONCORD, N.H.--Last night, in their first televised debate, Kelly Ayotte and Maggie Hassan squared off over the issue of women’s health care access. Once again Kelly Ayotte mislead voters about her lengthy record of working to ban abortion and obstruct access to family planning and preventative services like birth control and cancer screenings.

“When faced with empirical evidence of her own voting record, Kelly Ayotte uses phony talking points and spin to distort her record of obstructing women’s health care access. The voters of New Hampshire deserve to know the facts about Phony Kelly’s anti-women’s health agenda. It’s not enough to pay lipservice to the needs of New Hampshire’s women and families so we’ve launched ‘Phony Kelly’ to hold her accountable for her abysmal record on women’s health,” said Victoria Bonney, Communications Manager of Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund.

Kelly Ayotte is, and has always been, a crusader against women’s health care access and Planned Parenthood. Now that she’s running for reelection and has seen the polls (73 percent of Granite Staters support access to safe and legal abortion 66 percent support Planned Parenthood, and a majority of Independent voters are less likely to vote for her because of her votes to defund Planned Parenthood), she’s trying to pinkwash her record because it is so unpopular with New Hampshire voters.
