Planned Parenthood denounces Sen. Mark Kirk’s racist comments

New York, NY -- In response to last night’s Senate debate in Illinois, Planned Parenthood issued the following statement:

“Sen. Mark Kirk’s insensitive, overtly racist comments are appalling and have no place in a Senate debate or anywhere. At a time when our nation is grappling with our troubling history with race, Kirk decides to dismiss his opponent with the lowest of low attacks. Rep. Tammy Duckworth’s family served our nation for generations, and should not have their legacy insulted this way. Planned Parenthood Action Fund denounces these comments.”
