How Susan Collins Is Leaving Her Constituents Behind

Remaking the Judiciary

  • Susan Collins was a critical vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and downplayed the threat to Roe v. Wade when she announced her support of his confirmation.

  • She voted to confirm more than 140 of Trump's hand-picked judicial nominees to lifetime positions on the federal bench, including many ideologues and anti-abortion extremists.

Ignoring Mainers and Siding With Special Interests

  • Susan Collins hasn’t held an open town hall in more than two decades, ignoring her constituents and their concerns for Maine.

  • Susan Collins sided with special interests and anti-abortion extremists and voted to “defund” Planned Parenthood in 2015, putting health care at risk for the more than 12,000 Mainers who rely on Planned Parenthood for critical care like birth control, cancer screenings, and STI testing and treatment.

Putting Health Care at Risk

Bottom Line:

Susan Collins has lost touch with Mainers. She continues to prioritize corporate special interests and her political party over Maine people and Maine values.
