The stakes for reproductive health have never been higher than they are in the 2016 election—access to safe and legal abortion, insurance coverage for birth control, and ensuring patients can still access Planned Parenthood’s preventive services—all hang in the balance.
While the Presidential race draws most of the attention and focus, it clear that who we elect at the local level has a huge impact on reproductive health and rights. Since 2010, over 300 abortion restrictions have been passed in the United States, all at the state level.
Last legislative session we saw the House of Representatives unleash an unprecedented attack on reproductive health, including approval of a bill to defund Planned Parenthood. Thankfully, no anti-women’s health bills became law in Minnesota, but we need your help to keep it that way. In order to keep these attacks from getting any more momentum in Minnesota, we need to ensure we elect a pro-reproductive health majority to both the Minnesota Senate and House of Representatives.
