The Summer of 2023 has seen many of our Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGA) membership graduate, who will no doubt be moving on to do incredible work across our tri-county region – in their local communities, and within the reproductive justice movement.

Planned Parenthood Generation Action is a student organization with chapters on campuses nationwide. PPGA groups are the voices for reproductive health on their campuses. PPGA members organize events to educate and mobilize the student body on issues affecting sexual health and reproductive rights, connect students to local Planned Parenthood health centers, and serve as a pro Planned Parenthood presence on campus.

We couldn’t be prouder of our PPGA leaders, and their tremendous accomplishments. Here is what the graduating class of 2023 has to say about their time as PPGA members:

“Being a member of Planned Parenthood Generation Action SDSU IV has been an amazing experience, it helped me to grow personally and academically. I learned new things everyday and being able to advocate for others was the best part. I met awesome leaders who are passionate about advocating for reproductive rights!” –Emma (she/her/hers), Major: Psychology, San Diego State University Imperial Valley

“Planned Parenthood Generation Action allowed me to better understand the importance of reproductive rights to not just women, but everyone in general. PPGA provided a space that allowed me to learn in a safe environment surrounded by a loving and trustful group of people. I’m grateful for my time in PPGA and the amazing people that I met and can call my second family. Congrats to the Class of 2023!” Alan (he/hi/el), Major: Psychology, San Diego State University Imperial Valley

“Being a member of SDSU IV PPGA allowed me to be a part of a supportive community that helped me develop my leadership skills further to advocate for reproductive health. I created many memories that I will cherish forever and I met a lot of wonderful people along the way.” –Stephanie (she/her/hers), Major: Spanish, San Diego State University Imperial Valley

"I'm going to miss meeting such kind and driven individuals through PPGA and I'll always have fond memories of our annual big event, Sex in the Dark! Thank you PPGA for always being such a warm and welcoming home." –Nicole (she/her), Psychology major with minors in Statistics and Sociology, San Diego State University

We would also like to shout out to PPGA graduates at UC San Diego and UC Riverside - congrats to the class of 2023!
