Planned Parenthood Generation Action (PPGA) is a national network of young activists and student organizations who are working to build a world where everyone has access to quality reproductive health care and the freedom to make their own decisions about their bodies. PPGA members are students, young professionals, and community leaders who are passionate about using their voices to create change.
PPGA are the voices for reproductive health and rights on college campuses. PPGA members organize events to educate and mobilize the student body on issues affecting sexual health and reproductive rights, connect students to local Planned Parenthood health centers, and serve as a pro-Planned Parenthood presence on campus.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest is thrilled to share that PPGA members in the Coachella Valley are ready to fight to ensure that all people, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, or ability, have access to the reproductive health care they need – especially on their college campus. They are excited to:
- Raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health issues and the way they impact young adults and students at College of the Desert.
- Advocacy around access to abortion and contraception.
- Challenge harmful stigmas around reproductive health and rights.
- Build coalitions with other organizations to fight for reproductive justice, on and off campus.
We could not be more thrilled to have a growing chapter at our College of the Desert Campus. To learn more about our chapters and how you can sign up to participate, visit voteforchoice.org/ppga.
