Planned Parenthood Generation Action Chapters are in full-swing. Read on for updates from the various chapters on our college campuses, and to learn how you can get involved:

  • College of the Desert Audre Lorde Emerging Leaders: Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest is thrilled to share that on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 the newest Planned Parenthood Generation Action PPGA chapter at College of the Desert, was presented with the San Diego Coalition for Reproductive Justice (CRJ)’s 2024 Audre Lorde Emerging Leader Award.
  • UCR award received from Women's Center: PPGA at UC Riverside received the Student Organization Co-Sponsorship Award at the UC Riverside Women's Resource Center 50th Anniversary Gala. 
  • Emergency Contraception Pills to Distribute: PPGA College of the Desert and PPGA at UC Riverside both received emergency contraception pills to distribute.
  • PPGA SDSU Imperial Valley Meets with Secretary of Health and Human Services: On January 18, 2024, Victoria Lara from PPGA at SDSU-Imperial Valley met with United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, for a virtual round table discussion on the Dobbs decision and its effect on young peoples’ lives. 

We are so proud of each of our PPGA Chapters and the work that they do on college campuses and in our communities!
