Why We Support Margaret Plattner (D):

Margaret understands that we are all in a time of significant economic, political and social upheaval. She wants to make sure that when COVID-19 is all over, we come out on the other side stronger, better together. She will:

  • Support funding for public education.

  • Increase access to affordable and quality reproductive health care

  • Advocate for reproductive rights and freedom.

  • Fight to protect the Affordable Care Act through state law.

We are proud to endorse Margaret as a leader who will fight for reproductive freedom, stand up for abortion, affordable health care, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ protections no matter what.

As we lead the charge against attacks on health care access and reproductive rights, we know Margaret will stand strong on important issues for all Kentuckians.

Jason Nemes (R) is bad for Kentucky. He:

Is a pro-life caucus member and voted 13 times in support of anti-abortion legislation with no exemptions for rape or incest. He was also part of the 2020 hearing that silenced and shamed five women for attempting to testify against anti-choice legislation. Nemes also voted against Unions and a prevailing wage—he is a union buster who doesn’t support market wages.

Nemes also voted in favor of the Blue Lives Matter Bill and attended a Back the Blue Rally rally, even as protests across the nation and the city of Louisville call for a racial reckoning in response to the white supremicist policies that perpetuate violence and fear within the LMPD.

HD33 deserves a leader who will listen to the needs of Kentuckians and will fight for their access to education, health care and freedom—not silence, shame and restrict them.
